National Parks    
 

Deepwater National Park - has one of the few coastal freshwater systems that are in an original undisturbed condition.

It also boasts one of the most important Turtle Hatcheries who lay eggs from November until February and the hatchlings emerge from January until April.

Excellent beach and rock fishing.

Eurimbla National Park - has unique vegetation that reflects the transition from temperate to tropical plants, this was noted by Sir Joseph Banks in 1770 when he visited the area with Lt James Cook.

Estuary fishing and crabbing are great here.

Wildlife abounds all around the area.

 

 

Round Hill National Park - one of the few places in Qld where the sun sets over the water

Mt Colloseum, Mt CastleTower, Mt Stanley and Kroombit Tops National Parks are nearby.

Sir Joseph Banks Conservation Park at the other end of Agnes Water the 1770 peninsula remains as it was when he and Lt James Cook landed her on 24th May 1770. Many of Sir Joseph Banks drawings came from plants he found in this area.

Lady Musgrave Island - part of the Great Barrier Reef National Park, an un-developed island. A fantastic place for a day trip or It is possible to camp there but everything has to be taken with you including water.
